Same Episode in English

My life began on December 7th, 1956, in Hanover, Germany. My father was sick with polio and so wheelchair bound. I then attended an old language high school in Hanover. I had Latin (Latin proficiency certificate) and, second, Greek. English reached the third place. At the bottom of the pile, I learned Russian. At the end of my school days, I got the general university entrance qualification.

Later, I attended a good Bible School.

1985 to 1988 I lived in Essen, Ruhr area. I studied electronic engineering from January 1985 to October 1986. In that big city of Essen I soon got the most purchased home computer “Commodore 64”. This was my great luck. It soon turned out that technology and computers are my calling. I started programming on the Commodore 64 in the programming language called BASIC. To a certain amount, I tried the Assembler and C programming languages as well. These programming languages are more difficult than BASIC. From that time on programming (coding) in BASIC should become important to me.

It was in 1988 back in Hanover, the wonderful “B.A.S.” (Construction site shut-off service) employer Mr. Sporleder tested me to work for him. He certified me, I could learn well. He said to me: “You are a desk worker”. What he meant was, I would work better indoors at my desk, maybe in front of a computer. - Later in 1988 my best period of work life began. It was in Flörsheim, west of Frankfurt. I improved my knowledge because it was wiring and fine electronics from painting machines.

When I lived in Frankfurt, I purchased my first personal computer as a special event. That was important to me. I wanted to use it to understand some “basics of computer science”. It happened in 1991 that I started programming more professionally. I tried my hand in the programming language C++, learned to program in the structured programming paradigm quite well. From then on, my favorite thing was programming in C++. I translated an English document into German from 1993 to 1996. - I learned Word for Windows after that.

In Oldenburg, Germany, I got to know “COGPACK” in 1997; I programmed parts of this cognitive program called COGPACK in C++ in text mode.

The year 2012 came. Now my “life on the Internet” began. My mother was the instrument in this. It was she who said to me: “Stefan, I would like to make my pictures public.” For a long time - once a week - my mother gave lessons for seniors in painting, which resulted in many beautiful pictures. That's what started my internet activity: I built a website with this inspiration by my mother.

“I would like to go online with the pictures. Can you help me with that?” - my mother asked me in summer 2012. I would have loved to help, but I didn’t know how to do it! Right before that, in May in 2012, I bought a good digital camera by God’s good whispering. I later used it to publish the painted pictures.

In that summer of 2012 I found something I would later need for websites - an easy-to-use website builder; Jimdo. There should also be a text on the website. And my mother wrote a nice text.
